Septoplasty is a surgical procedure to correct the cartilaginous and bony partition that divides the nasal cavity to the right and left, called the nasal septum. This procedure is performed to correct the curvature or deformity of the nasal septum that causes nasal congestion. Septoplasty is often performed to correct breathing problems and can reduce nasal congestion. It can be performed under general anesthesia and usually requires a short recovery period. There is no change in the shape and aesthetic structure of the nose. This procedure can be performed in conjunction with rhinoplasty surgeries or separately. Septoplasty can be an effective solution to improve the patient's quality of life and allow them to breathe more easily.
